Dj Cap was determined to make his dreams come true and in 1995 teamed with his brother to open up his now nearly famous CD shop Tha Bomb Tapes & CDs located inside Big T Bazaar in Dallas, Texas. Starting as a teeny store inside this flea market they were able to fill an overwhelming void for screw music in the D/FW area. While screwed & chopped music was huge, there were very few outlets for it in Dallas, and DJ Cap and his brother were welcomed with open arms. Through this store, which is now twice the size it once was, Cap was able to open another recording studio, network with new artists and market his own mixtapes & screwed music with an industry thats flooded with mixtape deejays and wannabees its sometimes hard to distinguish quality sound and a good ear for talent. In a market such as Dallas, an area that has slowly made progress into the rap industry, the king of mixtapes and new artist discovery has yet to be crowned. However, DJ Cap, has certainly been making a name for himself as an entrepreneur, owning one of the most popular mom & pop shops for the latest in hip-hop music, as well as, screwed & chopped. He is also very well known for his own personal mixed CDs featuring the latest in crunk music, while he also features local artists like DSR, which signed a $7 million deal with Universal Records. Cap is now gaining street cred as a producer, and is in the making of becoming one of the hottest deejays in the south.
